Henrietta was a "change-of-life baby," born to her mother while she was going through menopause, an arrival nobody expected. Her recipes turned out to be just as unexpected a gift: passed to her daughter Glennes, then to her great-grandson Kedar, who is now sharing them one slice at a time.
